Community Partnerships benefit all while shaping the future

The Parks Foundation serves as a resource for municipalities, businesses, individuals, and groups to strengthen the benefits of parks, trails, and recreational programs throughout Clark County. Together we seek to connect our community through the many advantages these resources bring, including healthy living, economic development, and Geo-tourism. We draw from our region’s rich heritage as we shape the future.

The mission of the Parks Foundation of Clark County is simple — to improve the quality of life in Clark County by supporting parks, trails, and recreational programs and to ensure that the Pacific Northwest has the best of these to meet the needs of a growing and diverse population.

Your support helps to provide grants to parks and trails, as well as a variety of recreational programs that make the Pacific Northwest a wonderful place to live, work, and play. Many programs depend on the funding provided by the Foundation for a substantial portion of their budgets, and in the case of projects, with municipal budgets stretched so thin, many of these immediate needs may never be publicly funded.

The Parks Foundation also works with other not for profit organizations to provide administrative support and allows them to concentrate on their project rather than paperwork.

Founded in 1999 the Parks Foundation does not receive state, county, city, or federal funding. The Parks Foundation relies upon support from corporate, foundation, and individual members to create innovative partnerships, provide strategic grants, and increase public awareness.

We invite you to join these businesses and community leaders in supporting the ongoing protection and productive management of our parks, trails, and recreational programs so future generations can unplug, play, and explore.
