Camp Hope Scholarships

Camp Hope serves at-risk kids from all over Clark County and provides the opportunity to participate in outdoor camp experiences and ensures a safe environment to build lasting relationships with peers and caring adult mentors. These relationships build a foundation to develop self-confidence, effective communication skills, empathy, and respect for themselves and others. Unplugged activities help to foster team building and leadership skills and challenge them to use and expand their creativity. Art therapy and physical activities help strengthen both physical and mental wellbeing and help equip youth to resist risky behaviors such as substance use and abuse, self-harm, and suicide.
These outdoor educational camps give the kids the skills to adapt and cope with everyday challenges. Designed to build confidence and resilience in youth, they learn valuable life skills while having fun alongside their peers. Camp Hope’s programs add components to increase resilience in kids. These includes:
- Close relationship with caring adults
- Instilling a sense of purpose
- Individual competencies (problem solving skills, self-regulation, autonomy)
- Opportunities to connect socially
- Providing a sense of community that values people and supports health and personal growth
- Opportunities to learn new skills
