Crown Park was donated to the City of Camas in 1934. Located in a residential neighborhood on the north side of downtown Camas, it is near schools and has a host of amenities that are heavily utilized. A picnic shelter, two play areas, a basketball half court, two tennis courts, and Scout Hall make it the perfect community gathering space and is a great venue for the City’s summer concert and movie events. As a legacy park for the Camas community, Crown Park is in need of an update. The Camas City Council adopted a master plan for the park in 2018 and is now working to develop Phase 1 which will include:

  • An interactive water play feature
  • Inclusive play areas
  • A new permanent restroom
  • ADA access and pathways
  • Site furnishings

Crown Park is also home to a magnificent grove of mature trees consisting of Douglas Firs, Western Red Cedars, Giant Sequoias, Zelkovas, Blue Spruces, and Maples. The Master Plan was designed with an eye for protecting and highlighting the tree assets and ensuring no tree removal.

Camas is a small community of about 27,000 people. To the east is Washougal with a population of about 17,000. The interactive water feature and inclusive playground will be the first in east county, and serve the residents of both communities.
