The Parks Foundation of Clark County is proud to partner with the City of Vancouver Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services and Community in Motion to launch Silver Trails, a new walking and hiking program designed specifically for adults ages 65 and older.

Silver Trails encourages seniors to get outdoors, stay active, and connect with others while exploring some of Clark County’s most beautiful parks and trails. Each outing features a relaxed 1–2 mile walk focused on both physical wellness and social connection. Walks are designed to be scenic, welcoming, and accessible for participants of varying activity levels.

The program includes convenient transportation provided by Community in Motion, with pick-up and drop-off at Marshall/Luepke Community Center. Planned summer destinations include Orchards Park, the Columbia River Renaissance Trail, Hockinson Meadows, and Salmon Creek Regional Park.

The first Silver Trails outing will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Orchards Park.

“We’re excited to create opportunities for seniors to enjoy the outdoors, stay healthy, and build meaningful social connections through our parks system,” said Sean Janson, Development Director for the Parks Foundation of Clark County.
