Hello Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to personally share a few things we’ve been working on at the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

Last summer I made a career change because I wanted to spend my time making a difference in the community I love. Looking back over the past few months, I know I made the right decision.

Check out a few highlights from the past few months.

Renaissance Pointe

On April 9th, we celebrated the grand opening of Renaissance Pointe. The Parks Foundation was proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for this incredible community project, helping bring one of the most beautiful viewpoints along the Columbia River to life. It’s a project that will benefit our community for generations.

Annual Luncheon

Our Annual Luncheon brought together community leaders, partners, and supporters to celebrate the impact of parks and recreation across Clark County. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and attendees, the event raised critical funds that will help us continue investing in parks, trails, and recreation programs throughout our community.

One of the highlights of the luncheon was awarding grants to local organizations expanding access to parks and recreation throughout Clark County. It’s a great reminder that every donation and membership helps make these investments possible. Read about this year’s grant recipients here.

Hockinson Meadows Disc Golf Classic

Our first-ever Hockinson Meadows Disc Golf Classic was a huge success! The tournament sold out, welcomed players from across the region, and raised funds that will help maintain the course in perpetuity.

Silver Trails

Silver Trails is off to a fantastic start. We’ve already completed two wonderful outings, bringing older adults together to explore parks throughout Clark County. The stories and friendships that have come from this program have been incredible, and we still have three more walks scheduled this summer. Learn more or register for an upcoming Silver Trails outing.

Annual Cornhole Tournament

Next up is our Annual Cornhole Tournament on August 1st! It’s a fun day at Esther Short Park featuring friendly competition, a beer garden, raffle prizes, and great people—all while raising money to support parks, trails, and recreation throughout Clark County. Learn more or register here.

As proud as I am of what we’ve accomplished, I know we’re just getting started. If you believe parks, trails, and recreation make our community a better place to live, I hope you’ll consider becoming a member of the Parks Foundation. Membership dues help fund our day-to-day work and make programs like Silver Trails, community events, and future projects possible.

Thank you for your encouragement, your support, and for believing in what we’re building together. We’re working hard every day to make a difference in Clark County, and I’d love to have you alongside us.

Happy Trails,
