Bio:
Lucy Sherman was born in Belarus and moved to the United States at the age of two, accompanied by her twin sister, Grace. She attended Hudson’s Bay High School and Clark College and is currently pursuing a career in law enforcement. Lucy enjoys engaging with people and is passionate about her community in Vancouver. She works for the Ed and Dollie Lynch estate and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. In her free time, she coordinates Holidays on Franklin Street and manages their social media page. Lucy also enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and spending quality time with her sister.
Lucy is thrilled to be part of the Parks Foundation because she believes that parks are vital to any neighborhood. Children and families need outdoor spaces where they can play on equipment and run around. Through her work with the Ed and Dollie Lynch Estates, Lucy has come to understand the significant role that parks and green spaces play in enhancing the environment for everything from hospitals to office buildings to college campuses. A robust park system is essential for fostering a healthy community.
One of my favorite parks in Clark County is Hidden Park. I love visiting it because it’s tucked away, and many people are unaware of its existence.
